A graduate of The Ohio State University, Chuck has championed the concept of two-story retail with clients such as Wal-Mart, sustainable urban rail stations with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) and quality design and technical detailing for the NASA Glenn Research Center.
His understanding of aesthetics, technology and management philosophy has uniquely positioned him to lead

Joseph S. Cardile

Joe leads the Industrial Business as Senior Vice President and General Manager. His responsibilities include managing the company’s efforts in the energy, manufacturing, metals and municipal utility industries. Joe has more than 30 years experience managing large corporations in the architecture and engineering business.

His most recent experience includes Senior Vice President and COO of a major energy technologies company directing energy management services for national commercial and industrial clients. Joe has won several awards for design build projects throughout his engineering career as a member of strategic business development teams.
Joe serves on the boards of Construction Industry Institute (CII) and Construction Users Roundtable (CURT), as well as membership in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICE), Association Energy Engineers (AEE) and International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE).
Carl J. Bergsten, PE

With more than 20 years experience leading and working on projects from design development through operational start-up, Carl has led projects that have ranged in value from $20 million to more than $200 million. As Vice President and Eastern Regional Manager in the Life Science business, Carl has a thorough knowledge of the engineering, business and compliance issues facing today's Life Science clients.

As part of Middough's leadership team, Carl is focused on expanding Middough's national presence in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Food and Beverage and Consumer Products markets and is responsible for daily activities associated with strategic business planning, project execution, administration and business development. Working closely with other Middough regions, Carl is also responsible for supporting the company's national agenda for Middough's business lines across the country.
With an impressive client roster, Carl has had project delivery responsibility for numerous clients including Amgen, Firmenich, GlaxoSmithKline, Human Genome Sciences, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Pfizer and sanofi pasteur among others.
James R. Bingham

James has more than 30 years of experience in the consulting, engineering, design and construction industries.
As Director of Business Development for Middough's Life Science business, James is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and development of long-term relationships with our clients in the Agribusiness, Food and Beverage and Consumer Products industries.

James also has extensive experience in assisting clients in the site selection process and has considerable management consulting experience in working with Fortune 1000 firms, primarily in the site evaluation process.

Steven M. Bogaert, PE

Steve is Middough's Central Region vice president and is a registered professional engineer. He has extensive background in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Food industries with more than 20 years of experience leading projects from research and development to design development and commercialization. Steve has a strong background in sterile manufacturing and clean utilities and has significant international experience.

Paul W. Jahn

Daniel P. Lowry, Jr.
Dan is a vice president with more than 30 years of experience in the refining and chemicals industries. He is manager for the Central Region of our Middough Process Business with responsibility for regional performance including business development, client relationships, contract management, project management and strategic planning.

With an extensive background in retrofit project execution, Dan has designed and or managed more than 2300 multidiscipline projects to date. He has established and managed long term strategic alliance agreements with key clients, one of which that has now entered its 15th year.
Dan’s experience includes work with clients such as BP, Dow, Husky, Linde, Marathon, Sunoco and others, as well as project partnerships with other engineering companies such as Fluor, KBR and Jacobs.
