Fred leads the Architecture Business as senior vice president and general manager. During his 36 year career, Fred has designed and managed projects in the health care, education, federal and municipal government and corporate/commercial markets throughout the United States. An alumnus of the Illinois Institute of Technology, Fred's years of experience in programming, architectural design, program management and construction management have included multiple projects in excess of $2 billion. Fred's leadership and executive management skills are complimented by his understanding of design and technology resulting in several AIA Design Excellence Awards, sustainability awards and numerous publications.
As Architecture Business Manager for the Eastern Region, Chuck's 35 years of experience helping clients translate their development goals into reality has earned him accolades and respect throughout multiple industries. His diverse portfolio of work in the practice areas of higher education, laboratories, urban planning, retail and mixed-use developments, offices, transit, distribution centers, industrial and manufacturing facilities embraces virtually every market. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Chuck has championed the concept of two-story retail with clients such as Wal-Mart, sustainable urban rail stations with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, LEED® facilities for Bridgestone/Firestone retail centers and quality design and technical detailing for the NASA Glenn Research Center. His understanding of aesthetics, technology and management philosophy has uniquely positioned him to lead design teams in the delivery of creative and value-added projects to our clients
As Vice President and Central Region Business Manager for Architecture, Rick is responsible for the leadership and overall success of the Health Care and Education markets for Middough. He is an integral member of the company's management leadership and leads Middough teams in the strategic development of project planning and design. One of Rick's strengths is the breadth of project types he has managed in his 24 year career including design and management experience in Health Care encompassing hospitals, medical office, surgery centers, ambulatory care and psychiatric facilities, his education experience encompassing campus and utility planning, student recreation and wellness centers, instructional facilities, academic medical centers, student life and housing. An alumnus of the University of Chicago and The Ohio State University, Rick has completed many LEED® silver and gold buildings for new and renovation projects, as well as small and large-complex projects up to $640 million.
As Architecture Business Manager for the Western Region and Vice President, Pat's 25 years of experience have given him the opportunity to develop a diverse portfolio that includes work across a spectrum of industries and uses including health care, commercial and retail, civic and government architecture. Having based most of his career in the Western United States and Hawaii, Pat has applied his design and client skills on multi-state roll-out programs for such clients as Best Buy, CVS, Mega Foods, United Artists Cinemas, PetSmart and Bank of America; corporate headquarters for such clients as State Farm Insurance, US Airways and Mervyn's; health care projects for Arizona Health Services and Arizona State Hospital and Samaritan Home Health; life style centers of 18 to 198 acres; and numerous judicial, administrative and defense facilities supporting the United States government. Numerous projects completed for these clients have been recognized and awarded by the American Institute of Architects.
Steve is a vice president and regional business manager of the Architecture Business in the Central Region. Steve is focused on Middough's expanding Government Business and is responsible for daily activities associated with strategic business planning, project execution and business development. He has more than 20 years of experience both as a licensed architect and professional engineer working with federal, state, and local government, educational, commercial and industrial clients. A few of Steve's clients include the General Services Administration, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the State of Illinois, the City of Chicago, various Chicagoland counties and municipalities, University of Illinois, Marriott Corporation, Waste Management and private developers.
